Delete your Freedom account.

This page is for Freedom Driver and Freedom – Ride & Deliveries, published by FreedomDeveloper. You can request deletion here without reinstalling or opening either app.

Before you ask

What deleting your account does

We remove everything that identifies you. Some records have to stay, with your name taken off them, because the law requires it and because the accounts have to balance.

Removed

  • Your name, phone number and email address
  • Your profile photo, date of birth and home address
  • Your emergency contact's name and phone number
  • Your Ghana Card number
  • Your payout details: Mobile Money number and provider, bank name and account
  • Your vehicle make, model and colour, and your last known location
  • Saved payment methods, notifications, and the sign-in tokens on your devices

Kept, with your name removed

  • Trip, delivery and earnings records, with your name removed from them
  • Wallet and commission ledger entries, so the accounts stay balanced

Your phone number is released. You can sign up again with the same number as a brand-new account, and it will not inherit anything from the old one.

When we cannot delete yet

Deletion is held back while any of these is true, because each one involves money or a trip that is still open:

  • You have a trip or delivery in progress, or a scheduled ride
  • You have money in your Freedom wallet. Withdraw it first
  • You owe commission. Pay it from the Commission screen first
  • A commission payment of yours is still being reviewed
  • A withdrawal is still being processed

Clear whichever applies and the request will go through. If you are not sure which one is blocking you, ask below and we will tell you.

Two ways

In the app is faster, if you still have it

Deleting from the app is immediate, because it can confirm it is you with a code sent to your phone. If you have uninstalled it, use the form below instead. You do not need to reinstall anything.

In the app

Open the Freedom app, go to your account settings and choose Delete account. You will be asked for a code sent to your phone number, and the account is removed as soon as you confirm it.

On this page

Fill in the form below. We will contact you to confirm the account is yours, and delete it once we have. Nothing is removed before that check.

We complete verified deletion requests within 30 days.

Tell us the phone number on the account so we can find it, and an email address we can reply to.

Submitting this does not delete anything on its own. We will contact you to confirm the account is yours first.
